The respite care services available at our Golden LivingCenters provide temporary relief for those who are taking care of a loved one at home, giving them the opportunity to rejuvenate, reduce stress and strengthen their ability to continue their caregiving role.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the time limit for respite care?
Our respite care residents are typically with us for a minimum of five nights, but longer stays are possible.
How is respite care paid?
It can be paid through Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or private funds. Our business office will be happy to speak with you regarding your specific situation.
What services will you provide to my loved one during respite care?
Respite care residents share the same amenities, program and services that our LivingCenter residents enjoy, including: Nursing care and therapy services, recreational activities and socialization, nutritious meals and snacks, room service and maid service. Can my loved one's physician see them at the LivingCenter?
Your loved one's physician can see them during their stay with us. Our LivingCenters also have attending physicians, as well as medical directors on staff.
What information should I bring?
Please provide a history and physical from your loved one's primary physician. If your loved one is on medications, we ask that you bring those as well.
